AUGUST 2024
Part 1 of 4
Finding Glaciers. This was my goal for year 3 on the road. I would spend some time in the Pacific Northwest which is a dense, lush, forested, wild area. Logistics proved challenging, not to mention sitting tight for a number of days to guess the best weather day, for hiking and well as photography.
When I finally settled on a very early day out, it would be on the Skyline Loop. Absolutely, crazy crowded at the finish, but up before sunrise always is worth it in the end! Even when you can barely make out the mountain throught the clouds, those become some of my favorite shots.
Length: 5.6 mi • Elevation gain: 1,771 ft • Route type: Loop
