In Ruins
I was fortunate to find fairly close boondocking spots and get out away from the crowds. I had my eye on a ruin I had seen from a distance last year. After locating my waypoint I saved, I ventured out through the pointed desert keeping my eye out for faint paths and footprints.
It was a bushwhack for sure. But worth it!
The weathered log at the bottom was key to gaining access.
The scamble was harder than it looks.
BACKPACKING OVERNIGHT
I wanted to get out for an overnight and try my new tent. I found the El Dorado loop which proved to be challenging in the heat. But planning ensured I had enough water and some idea of a campsite location.

The Durson XMid 1. A little tricky to setup first time in the field, but, I am sure it will be a big improvement over my older Lanshan 1.
West Fork Canyon
Been there. This time the water was enjoyable to wade through and the morning light made all the difference. As always. Great morning to finish off my re-visit to Sedona.
