Finding America: Southern Utah

Utah: On the Road

As temps began to warm up this will be my third trip on the road heading up from Sedona, Arizona. I fell in love with the Southwest years ago (although the Alpine regions are my faves}. The color and skies are always changing. It was time to head towards Cedar Breaks and Zion West.

The Moki Dugway Road. 3 miles of driving with 1200 feet gain and a 10 percent grade.

The Frontcountry can be as much if not more of an adventure than the Backcountry!

A view of Bears Ears on the skyline.

It takes work to find the good spot! You can’t find this at conventional camping locations.

Natural Bridges National Monument.

Navajo Nation's landscape. The Painted Desert Project. (Except for the painted RV}.

The Grand Staircase–Escalante National Monument
